Frequently Asked Questions

In the Customer Search screen, you can create a new customer by typing in a new name, and hitting ‘Enter’. You will be asked if you’d like to create a new customer with this name. Hit ‘Yes’ to finish entering in information for this customer.

You can change your view on the Financial History tab on a customer account. To view balances, right click on a charge and select ‘Balances’ from the top of the menu that appears. There are also special views set up for Workorders, Taxes, Invoices, as well as other options.

When you have a customer account open, click the Edit menu and select ‘Name’. When finished, hit the ‘Accept’ button or the F12 key to save.

Haulers that have purchased our Commercial Billing package can view a log of activity on a customers account. To view, open a customer and navigate to the History tab, and then to the Activity sub-tab. Haulers that do not have Commercial Billing will be unable to view this information.

To finish a batch print job, click ‘Print/Email Bills/Cards’ again from the Bill and Print menu. Select the format you chose for the original print job, as well as a Sort option, Printer Type and number of cards if you are printing to post cards. Under the Billing Action drop down, select ‘Resume Printing’. You will be shown a list of unfinished print jobs in queue. Select the batch you’d like to resume and continue.

On the Trash Billing screen, click on the Web Payments menu, and select web payment report. If you have just run your batch, the report will display any cards that will not process due to invalid account information, or expired credit cards. In order to see payment declines, run this report after the posting date for the batch. You can also select the ‘Return/Decline’ check box to only view declined payments.

After making any changes to a Teleroute route, make sure to hit ‘Upload Routes’ on the Teleroute menu in Trash Flow. Keep in mind changes can take up to five minutes to be received by the tablet after uploading from Trash Flow. Any changes to driver passwords, route settings or route extras will also need to be uploaded using the ‘Upload Routes’ button, in order to be seen on the tablets.

The Posting Report will display this information. Navigate to Reports > Financial Reports > Posting Reports, and select the Posting Report to run. Set your start and end date. To view individual charge detail, make sure to select ‘Detailed Other Charges’, and ‘Detailed Payments’ if you wish to view individual payments as well. You have the option to export the results to a CSV file if you’d like to view the information in a spreadsheet version. Otherwise, the report will produce a print out version. Other options on this report allow you to select charges for specific account types, bill groups, tax districts, etc.

The Payment Summary report will show a breakdown of payments by method over a given period. Navigate to Reports > Financial Reports > Posting Reports > Payment Summary Report to run. Select your start date (i.e. the date of the earliest payment you’d like to see), and choose a group by option (Daily, Monthly, Yearly, etc.).

You can find customers with credit balances by running the Accounts Receivable Aged Report. Narrow down your results by Bill Group, Account Type, etc, and make sure to select an ‘As of Date’. To view credit balances, you will need to select the ‘Include Credit Balances?’ check box, as well as set the minimum balance to a large negative number (i.e. -99999). Click OK to run the report.
